About Mark Williams...

AKA: Webdoctor
In my professional realm, I'm known as the WebDoctor. My experience with PC's, LANs, WANs, BBS, and the web in general since 1987 has allowed me to have a very rich and diverse knowledge base to draw upon. I have a stable base of clients whom rely upon being able to call me to get assistance and answers to obscure business process, IT, or network related issues. I have direct experience in:
- Embedded Linux Appliance Firmware Development
- I compiled the Sierra 3g USB modem-driver modules for use with the Voyage Linux Project.
- Created my personal 3g router in March 2007.
- Website Development
- I began website development for my own personal interests back in 1993, I provided website and web marketing services from 1998~2008 to various small businesses and organizations. In 2008, I moved away from web commercial development and returned it to being a hobby for my own personal interests.
- Distance Learning / customer knowledge base online content management
- During AirMatrix employment, I implemented AliceBot (an Artificial Intelligence chat bot engine along with OS Tickets to create a 1st tier 24x7 automated support-desk attendant. This served as a front lines automated support option for our company and it was very successful. At its peak it handled >200 support sessions daily with a 79% customer resolution completion rate. The other 21% of requests were automatically escalated to live (human) tech support reps.
- Network Engineering
- I have been involved in numerous network deployments worldwide. For military, government, municipal, corporate and private interests.
- RF Network Analysis and Engineering
- My abilities to model RF network performance based upon real-world experience allow myself to outperform most software analysis engines I've been tried against. I start with a complete site-survey which involves on-site testing with the chosen equipment. This methodology has allowed my WiFi network design deployments to function as expected or even to exceed expectations.
- Most recently, I designed and deployed a Super Density WiFi network for the city of Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas' Civic and Convention Center. See my press release area for more information.
- Data / Statistical Analysis
- My database programming experience has allowed me to develop insightful methods for recognizing data patterns and played a huge roll in my success as CTO for AmeritelUSA. In this role, vast amounts of call detail records were required to be sifted and billed accordingly, additionally, I engineered CDR pattern recognition to aid in marketing as well as automating network performance and fraud mitigation / management.
- IPV4, DNS, VPN, VLAN, PPTP
- As you might guess, I have experience with all of the above. ;-)
- Open Source Advocate
- I advocate for open source solutions constantly
- Supporting business and personal awareness of the benefits of open source
- Implementing open source software in unique ways to solve and meet business requirements
AKA: MarkGyver
Some friends and family call me "MarkGyver" because I am resourceful, I thrive on creating solutions to problems with limited resources. My 'outside the box' approach to problem resolution has served myself and my clients well. The consummate idea man, I tend to have the best results when I am working with a team to build upon the idea at hand. While I am able to work alone or with a team, I tend to prefer a team environment, my management style depends upon building team continuity and helping those I work with to attain greater results through increasing their pride and accountability towards the effort at hand.
